#NMF Dance: Our Picks For The Week

New music from Ashelyy & G Jones, Massane & Teho, Zorza, and more on New Music Friday.

1. Ashelyy, G Jones – “Hardcore Energy”

Ashelyy joins forces with G Jones on “Hardcore Energy.” It is an explosive debut single that channels the raw, unfiltered spirit of underground rave culture. Fueled by industrial textures, abrasive synths, and relentless beats, the single delivers an authentic, high-intensity rave experience made for dark, sweat-soaked dancefloors. At the same time, “Hardcore Energy” lets the music speak for itself, teasing more electrifying releases to come.

2. John Summit, Julia Wolf’s – “WITH ME” (Crankdat remix)

The official remix of John Summit and Julia Wolf’s “With Me” dropped with Crankdat‘s genius remix. Blending Wolf’s ethereal vocals with heavy wobbles, distorted 808s, and explosive bass drops, the remix transforms the original’s house grooves into a high-energy rush. Like a strong cocktail topped with sparkling soda, the contrast between delicate melodies and electrifying climaxes makes “With Me” irresistibly intoxicating.

3. Massane & Teho – “Back From There”

Massane and Teho perfectly illustrate a French night on “Back From There,” a melodic yet powerful collaboration via Cercle Records. Based on Massane’s homesickness while in the U.S., the track blends warm, organic melodies with driving progressive beats. Its raw electronic textures evoke the charm of retro pixel-art video game soundtracks, creating a dreamy escape between nostalgia and the dancefloor. Indeed, Massane’s upcoming performance is at Upside in Miami on November 1.

4. I-ZEN & Hariharan – “5AM”

I-ZEN bridges generations and genres with “5AM,” a hypnotic collaboration with his father, legendary Indian vocalist Hariharan. Established by rich Indian classical vocals with pounding basslines, chopped samples, and dark psytrance rhythms, the track transforms traditional musical expression into a powerful, late-night club experience. Undoubtedly, “5AM” offers an electrifying preview of I-ZEN’s upcoming album FALSE AWAKE, where Indian musical heritage meets futuristic electronic production.

5. Zorza – “SPELLBIND”

Zorza closes her debut album internet niche fame on a euphoric high with “SPELLBIND,” a love letter to music itself. Blending trap hi-hats, booming 808s, hardstyle energy, and relentless four-on-the-floor kicks, the track captures the full spectrum of her signature hyper-dance sound. As the album’s electrifying finale, “SPELLBIND” celebrates the thrill of feeling alive through art. Which marking a bold new chapter for Zorza as both an artist and label head.

#NewMusicFriday: Our Picks for the Week

New music from Flower Face,Current Joys, Ari Abdul, and more on New Music Friday.

1.Flower Face – “Better the Devil”

Flower Face slips into the hazy hours between midnight and dawn with “Better the Devil,” a haunting new single from her upcoming album Kill the Muse, arriving February 5. Built on restless finger-picked guitar, anxious strings, and thunderous distorted bass, the track confronts self-destructive habits and the strange comfort of familiar pain. Raw and beautifully melancholic, “Better the Devil” captures the blurry moments before sunrise. The mysterious time when emotional clarity still feels out of reach.

2. Current Joys – “HALLOWEEN”

Current Joys casts a playful spell with “HALLOWEEN,” a hazy, unconventional serenade from his upcoming album ROSEBUD. Perfect for unwinding after a night of Halloween festivities, the track pairs chill melodies with witchy, spell-like spoken vocals. Compared to the raw intensity of “WILDFIRE,” (previously spotlighted in NMF HERE), “HALLOWEEN” reveals a softer, more whimsical side of ROSEBUD’s genre-bending sound. Current Joys will celebrate the album at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on November 18.

3. Sampa The Great – “Location”

Sampa The Great brings Zambian heritage into the spotlight with “Location,” a standout from her third album Nu Zamrock, out via Loma Vista Recordings. Her captivating, unmistakable rap flow blends effortlessly with the vibrant rhythms of Zambia, fusing hip-hop, rock, soul, and Kalindula influences into a bold sonic identity. As a result, “Location” captures the rebellious spirit of Zamrock while celebrating Sampa’s artistic confidence and cultural roots.

4. Ari Abdul – “NOBODY’S HERO”

Ari Abdul embraces her darker artistic identity with “NOBODY’S HERO,” the third single from her debut album THE VOID, arriving November 13. Driven by hypnotic rhythms, heavy drums, and eerie, spacious production, the track explores the guilt of recognizing her own self-destructive patterns in someone else. Raw and haunting, “NOBODY’S HERO” becomes a deeply personal confession. It perfectly shows the struggle of trying to save others while battling the same pain herself.

5. Moody Joody – “Heart Shaped Bed”

Moody Joody bring a rush of sunshine and passion with “Heart Shaped Bed,” a vibrant standout from their debut album Plain Jane, out today (October 30). Shimmering synths blend effortlessly with the band’s richly textured vocals, while infectious melodies and dynamic shifts keep the energy soaring. Warm, uplifting, and bursting with youthful spirit, “Heart Shaped Bed” feels like an instant mood booster, reigniting the excitement of life even on the gloomiest days.
