Alternative outlier Royal & the Serpent unveiled yet another irresistible single. Read on to know the new song you should be adding to your playlist.
This year is seeing an incredible increase in unique and alternative sound, and this latest news is no different. Drop down into the rabbit hole and look no further than to Royal & the Serpent’s new single, “Euphoria.” This track paints the way for her anxiously awaited debut album to be released later this year!
“Euphoria” ascends listeners with a unique mix of up-tempo drums with slow and ethereal vocals. Following the intro, the song trails on into its chorus, channeling a high energy, vibrant and surreal vibe you can’t help but to dance to. Finally, the dream begins to fade with echoey and distorted spoken words as it quiets to an end. The song fits snugly into the uniqueness of the alternative genre and showcases some of the flavor that makes Royal stand out from the rest. Give it a listen and you’ll be sure to fall in love.

The song comes off the tidal wave of streams her previous single, “Death Do Us Part”, amassed. Already earning 1 million and counting, right out of the gate Billboard touted it on “Queer Jams of the Week,” and gave the artist high praise. That’s not even the end of the accolades. Last year, the songstress notably contributed “Wasteland” to the Arcane League of Legends: Season 2 Original Soundtrack. This standout has already eclipsed 80 million-plus streams and counting.
When asked about “Euphoria”, Royal & the Serpent said,
“I wanted this song to feel like being at the top of a ferris wheel and looking out at an orange sunset… or like spinning in circles on the tea cups ride at an amusement park. I wanted it to feel like a fever dream.”
